Gene Brakefield has had a fall at her assisted living home in Selma. She is bruised and scraped, but the main concern is a fractured kneecap. She is in a brace from mid-thigh to mid-calf, and will spend the next two weeks in a nursing home to learn how to walk with a stiff leg. As you would expect from Gene, her spirits are good.
